Prophylaxis

Therapy

Co-amoxiclav  1.2g IV

Continue orally  (625mg TDS) for 3 days post-op

Prophylaxis - Penicillin Allergy

Therapy

Clindamycin 900mg IV or oral

Continue orally for 3 days post-op (300mgQDS)

Prophylaxis - MRSA Positive Patient

Therapy

Teicoplanin - see under drug dosing for dose AND Metronidazole 500mg IV

For post-op oral option - d/w microbiology
